Pounding the Pavement
The Pink Agenda is once again endeavoring to raise money, raise awareness, and raise hell.
One of our directors, Jaquelyn Scharnick, was recently profiled in the NY Daily News regarding her personal battle with leukemia and her commitment to eradicating breast cancer. Her story has inspired a ten-time marathoner and partner at her firm, the Brunswick Group, to assemble an international team of runners who will be running the New York Marathon in honor of her and on behalf of The Pink Agenda.
This event will include remarks by our Team Captain, Jim Wilkinson, a managing partner at the Brunswick Group, the world’s leading M&A communications and strategy firm, and former chief of staff to Hank Paulson and advisor to Condoleeza Rice. Dr. Larry Norton, chairman of the Executive Board of Scientific Advisors of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and deputy physician-in-chief for breast cancer programs and medical director of the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Cancer Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, will also provide a brief report on recent breakthroughs in breast cancer research and development.
Per usual, we will have cocktails and hors’deurves on hand and some of NYC’s most fabulous and most prominent supporters of breast cancer research and development, including Myra Biblowit, president of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Blythe Masters of JP Morgan Chase and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Hoda Kotb from NBC’s Today show.
The event will be held at the New York Athletic Club on Tuesday October 13th beginning at 7:00 p.m., and we would be honored to have you join us!
