A FAB-U-WISH FOR EMILY S.

In the fall of 2022, while breastfeeding her youngest child, Emily found a lump and continued to monitor it. Just a few short months later, her world changed in the blink of an eye when she was diagnosed with stage 4 triple negative breast cancer. As for many, it was completely unexpected as Emily has no family history, no genetic markers, and very few risk factors that would suggest breast cancer at the age of 33. Her journey and treatment have been incredibly challenging, but Emily has continued to persevere and tries to maintain a positive attitude and find joy daily.

Emily and her family moved into a new home just prior to her diagnosis. The team at FAB-U-WISH were honored to arrange for Emily to enjoy a shopping experience at one of her favorite décor retailers, West Elm, to help her decorate this space so she, her family, and friends have a comfortable retreat where they can spend time together.

Quote: “We moved into our new home two months prior to my breast cancer diagnosis and did not have the opportunity to decorate before we were thrown into medical appointments, surgeries, and treatment. Guiliana and The Pink Agenda allowed our family room to turn from a bland space to a comfortable, inviting room! Not only is the room more welcoming to our guests, our kids have thoroughly enjoyed snuggling under blankets, building forts with pillows and climbing into the blanket basket! This generous experience permitted our family to add some final touches to our home that were a very low priority in the midst of our medical expenses and turned my attention towards something other than cancer during a year where it was difficult to focus on anything else!”
