Jeanne’s journey with breast cancer began when she felt a lump in October 2024. She went to her doctor but could not get an appointment for an ultrasound and mammogram until mid-December. After advocating for herself, she scheduled an appointment with a breast surgeon in early December and was given a diagnosis of DCIS. Jeanne and her family were in shock. The year had already been full of challenges with the loss of two parents. She had her double mastectomy and a tumor board found that she was misdiagnosed and was now stage 1.

Jeanne dove into a new treatment plan. Throughout it all, she remained incredibly positive and has become very active in the breast cancer community. Jeanne’s wish was for something special to represent her journey. #FABUWISH was thrilled to arrange for Jeanne to receive a special pink WARRIOR necklace from Haverhill.

“My outlook on life changed after my double mastectomy. I promised myself I would not look backward but forward, living life fully and with gratitude. I try to instill that same mindset in my daughter, who is now in graduate school at the University of Michigan researching triple negative breast cancer. This necklace represents everything I believe in—strength, resilience, gratitude, and faith. I am a warrior, and wearing it each day will be a proud reminder of what I’ve overcome and what I hope to give back to others. Thank you again for everything. This experience has touched me deeply.”
