Keosha’s journey started in 2020. She was in the middle of helping a close friend who was battling stage 4 breast cancer when her friend encouraged Keosha to start self-exams. That same year, she had been experiencing back pain. A nurse, Keosha thought it was due to her demanding job and began physical therapy. Two years later, in 2022, Keosha fainted while at work. It was thought that this might be complications from an unrelated surgery, so they sent her for an ultrasound for her esophagus. Her esophagus was clear, but the doctor happened to see something on her right breast. Originally thinking it was stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma, a body scan showed metastasis in her right hip, clavicle, and lower back. Keosha was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. A single mother, Keosha has been fighting for her daughter and tries to give her the most normal life she can. She has gone back to work and is starting her nurse practitioner program. Still struggling with a lot of hip, back, and bone pain daily, Keosha has the mind of a 40-year-old, but physically she is reminded that she must slow down.

Keosha comes from a family of Steelers fans and has passed the tradition on to her daughter. Her wish was to create a beautiful memory with her mother and daughter and experience a Steelers game together. In partnership with the Citrone family, the FAB-U-WISH team was able to grant Keosha an amazing game day experience in Pittsburgh.

“Our dreams came true!! Thank you so much for giving us the best day ever…we will never forget this!”
