This is an uncertain time for us all – and especially for those who are immunocompromised, including cancer survivors and those who are currently undergoing treatment. We are thinking of our Pink Agenda family and the entire cancer community.
In recognition of the countless women and men undergoing treatment during these distressing circumstances, The Pink Agenda has partnered with Maggie Kudirka (@baldballerina) to share stories of how the COVID-19 crisis has affected breast cancer patients and ways to support them through this difficult time. You can follow along on social media by searching the hashtag #ourNEWnewnormal.
The Pink Agenda remains focused on our mission to make breast cancer history. While the current health crisis has paused much of daily life, it will not slow the development of breast cancer, and your support is more vital than ever
Research Update
Many researchers have been affected by university and lab closures, but are finding new ways to share data with each other and explore new opportunities for breakthroughs. Others have seen improvements in communications with participants in clinical trials and are gathering new insights through additional interviews and follow-up questioning. Clinician-researchers who treat patients are conducting routine appointments through telemedicine, and work closely with those requiring in-person treatment to ensure their safety and comfort.
