At its core, The Pink Agenda’s #Move2RaiseHell Challenge for Research is a celebration of movement, community, and action.

The Challenge invites people to move with purpose and raise hell for breast cancer research in whatever way feels meaningful to them. Participants run, walk, hike, take fitness classes, organize events, and rally their friends and families around a cause that impacts millions of lives. Together, they are raising awareness, funding lifesaving research, and helping create a future free of breast cancer.

As The Pink Agenda’s only nationwide community-driven initiative, #Move2RaiseHell has grown into a movement fueled by passion, connection, and determination. What began as a single day held in conjunction with National Cancer Survivors Day has evolved into a multi-city effort powered by nearly 200 supporters across the country.

This year, activities began on June 2 with a special class at Mile High Run Club in New York City and continued through June 13 with a week of community classes and awareness events hosted by Pure Barre in Pittsburgh. Along the way, supporters ran, walked, hiked, gathered, and showed there is no one way to raise hell.

Because when it comes to funding breast cancer research, raising hell is better together.

Atlanta, GA

In Atlanta, supporters found their own ways to participate in the Challenge, embracing the idea that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to raising hell. Whether walking solo or cheering from afar, participants showed that showing up in whatever way you can is what truly counts.

“As a breast cancer survivor, supporting research will always be personal to me because I know how much it changes outcomes and gives people real hope. This year, even though our Atlanta chapter had to complete the challenge separately because life and schedules got in the way, it still felt like such a strong reminder that everything really is better together because showing up in any way still matters.”

— Alexandria Murray, Leadership Council Member, Team Atlanta Captain

Boston, MA

Supporters in Boston gathered for a scenic run/walk along Castle Island and Head Island Causeway. Together, they honored loved ones, celebrated survivors, and raised awareness, united by a shared commitment to creating a future free of breast cancer.

“The reason I love Move to Raise Hell is the same reason I joined TPA two years ago and why running the NYC Marathon for TPA in 2024 was so special. My grandmother battled breast cancer for over 20 years before she passed away last April. She was always such a big proponent of living every day to the fullest, getting outside, and pushing yourself in all facets of life. I wake up every day trying to make her proud, and M2RH is a day she would love.

— Brendan Vann, Leadership Council Member, Team Boston Captain

Chicago, IL

Supporters in Chicago’s North Shore community gathered in Highland Park for a morning walk benefiting breast cancer research, followed by refreshments and a raffle at Bright Bowls. The event served as a reminder of the power of coming together, not only to raise funds, but to support one another through every stage of the breast cancer journey.

“Four years ago, we gathered our community in a walk of hope right after my sister Mardi was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. It was an incredibly powerful day filled with love and support from our amazing community. This past year, I was diagnosed with DCIS after years of diligent screening. Both more deeply involved in The Pink Agenda, it seemed like the perfect time to gather our community once again to feel the power of rallying around a single cause on National Cancer Survivor Day. The day was beautiful in every way and once again the sentiment that Raising Hell is Better Together filled us with hope for a future free of breast cancer.”

— Sandra Merrill, TPA Chicago Committee, Team Chicago Co-Captain

Denver, CO

In Denver, supporters embraced the spirit of #Move2RaiseHell by choosing their own adventure. Participants ran, walked, or hiked before gathering at The Golden Mill for an afterparty that celebrated community, connection, and a shared commitment to funding breast cancer research.

“I chose to participate in The Pink Agenda’s #Move2RaiseHell Challenge in honor of the breast cancer survivors in my life. Their strength and resilience throughout treatment are truly inspiring, and if they can face that challenge, I can certainly dedicate my time and energy to raising awareness and funds for the cause. It was wonderful to gather with friends and loved ones in Golden, Colorado, on a beautiful day to enjoy the fresh air, get moving, and celebrate those who have fought and survived breast cancer.”

— Sarah Wright, Leadership Council Member, Team Denver Co-Captain

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Supporters in South Florida joined the Challenge with a community walk, adding their energy and enthusiasm to this growing nationwide movement. Their participation served as another reminder that no matter where you are or how you choose to get involved, every step helps advance breast cancer research.

New York, NY

This year’s New York City Challenge kicked off early with a special class at Mile High Run Club on June 2, followed by a community walk through Central Park during National Cancer Survivors weekend. Together, participants demonstrated that movement can take many forms and that every step taken in support of breast cancer research matters.

“#M2RH is an incredible opportunity to connect across TPA’s chapter cities and tap into the creativity and passion of our nationwide community. We loved seeing everyone move in their own way in support of breast cancer research—and I had a blast on our walk in Central Park! Seeing #M2RH come together was a powerful reminder of what community can accomplish when we show up for something we believe in.”

— Rachel Carucci, Leadership Council Member, Team New York Co-Captain

“I participated because I am committed to finding a cure, and M2RH uniquely connects our chapter cities in raising both awareness and donations. To me, the challenge represents connectivity—recognizing the progress we’ve made, appreciating the present, and understanding the work still ahead for the future. I joined the Mile High Run Club with Fran, Sophia, and a group of about 20 others. We had a great time, and I look forward to doing it again soon.”

— Jack Ricciuti, Board Member, Team New York Co-Captain

Pittsburgh, PA

Throughout the week, supporters gathered at Pure Barre Pittsburgh for classes that built awareness, fostered connection, and raised funds for breast cancer research. Special events included a Pink Out class, a Date Night class encouraging conversations about breast cancer awareness among men and their loved ones, and a raffle for anyone who participated or donated.

San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Since its inception, #Move2RaiseHell has been rooted in a simple idea: movement has the power to bring people together. In the San Francisco Bay Area, participants embraced that spirit by getting active, building community, and moving with purpose, all in support of breast cancer research.

“My goal has always been to further TPA’s mission through movement—to get as many people moving with purpose as possible. It’s why we launched #MOVE2RAISEHELL in 2021. I love that anyone, regardless of age, ability, or fitness level, can join in.

Fundraising is critical to advancing research, but #MOVE2RAISEHELL offers something more: a chance to actively participate in the cause. It’s an opportunity to do something good for yourself, for others, and alongside others. To me, that’s what #RAISINGHELL🔥 is all about.”

— Katie Kuhn, Board Member

While every city looked a little different, each gathering reflected the same belief: progress happens when people come together.

From fitness studios and hiking trails to waterfront walks and neighborhood gatherings, supporters across the country showed that there are countless ways to raise awareness, build community, and fund critical breast cancer research.

As #Move2RaiseHell continues to grow, one thing remains constant: raising hell is better together.
